The equipment of locker rooms and common areas in companies is an aspect to be treated with great care and detail. Nowadays, no one is unaware of the direct relationship that exists between the productivity and well-being of workers and the optimization of the equipment.

But do you really know how to optimize this relationship? Lockers, lockers, cabins…they are not all the same, nor do they all meet the same needs. Depending on the problem you are trying to solve, your company will need, for example, some lockers for employees or others.

In this article we are going to explain 5 examples of 5 needs that various companies in our country were looking to solve and how Megablok was able to provide them with the best solution. Because being the leader in equipping companies begins with understanding the specific needs of each one of them.

Employee lockers: 5 needs, 5 different solutions

The first step in offering the best equipment solution to a company is to understand what it needs. Megablok does not sell lockers “in bulk”, but studies each case to provide the most appropriate solution. Pay attention to the following cases:

Need 1: Separation between street clothes and personal belongings and work clothes.

The meat company Litera Meat needed specific equipment in which its workers would have two clearly separated areas within their employee lockers: on the one hand, a space to store their personal belongings and street clothes, and on the other, the clean clothes that the laundry personnel leave in their lockers every day.

Understanding this need, Megablok proposed the manufacture of water repellent melamine water-repellent melamine lockers with phenolic doors (as it is a space with a certain degree of humidity) (being a space with a certain degree of humidity), with two separate interior areas for both tasks. At the same time, combination locks were installed so that employees could open the lockers without the need for a key and laundry personnel could access them in the same way.

Need 2: Organization of footwear and storage of tuppers

Grupo Alacant, a well-known company in the artisan ice cream sector, needed to expand its changing room area due to the growth of its team, but wanted to do so while covering certain important needs.

On the one hand, they wanted to maintain order and a high degree of hygiene in terms of employees’ footwear. On the other hand, as in the previous case, they were looking for a separation between dirty clothes and clean clothes. And finally, the company also needed a place where its employees could leave their tuppers or snacks before entering the locker room.

Once Megablok gathered all this information, it proposed the optimal solutions for each case, such as lockers for employees in phenolic material and L-shaped doors, special cabinets to store different types of clothing, lockers open at the front and back for footwear, and wall lockers with transparent methacrylate door for employees’ food.

Need 3: Comfortable and hygienic equipment for a dry environment

The renovated Hotel Canfranc, located in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, needed new furniture for its workers’ changing rooms. Specifically, it is a dry environment in which to change comfortably and maximizing the hygiene of the space.

With this in mind, Megablok proposed the solution of L-shaped monoblock metal lockers, to hang garments comfortably and cleanly, as well as to deposit footwear in the widest part of these employee lockers.

In addition, legs were added to raise them off the floor to make cleaning easier and to avoid dirt and bacteria generation.

Need 4: Equipment for a very humid environment

Just as you wouldn’t put diesel in a gasoline car, you shouldn’t install dry lockers in locker rooms with high humidity. And unfortunately it happens frequently.

To illustrate this case we will talk about the Metropole Swimming Club in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which needed new equipment for its center (in this case for its clients, not for its workers).

As the space was extremely humid, the solution provided was cabins, benches and phenolic lockers . phenolic lockersThis is the material that best resists humidity thanks to its water-repellent properties, as well as being fireproof and antibacterial.

Need 5: Office consignment for different workers

This last scenario takes us to the leading home appliance company BSH, specifically to its administrative offices. Their need was as follows: They needed to place some lockers in the offices for the use of their workers, but that were not assigned in a particular way so that they could be used by different employees.

Need understood, solution in place. Thus, Megablok proposed the office equipment solution of its “open spaces” family.open spaceswith phenolic door and manual combination lock. In this way, it was possible to optimize space, since it was not necessary to place as many lockers as workers, since not all of them used them at the same time.

As we have seen, each company is different and each equipment need is different from another. In Megablok you have the reference in business equipment to provide customized solutions to what your organization requires. We look forward to helping you.
